Hands On Health: The Beginning

Terilyn Wyre started Hands on Health in 1997 after graduating with honors from Seattle Massage School in fall of 1996. She began doing onsite seated massage for Pacific Northwest Ballet as well as renting a massage room space at Belli Capelli hair salon in West Seattle. Teri spent four years at Belli Capelli developing a truly wonderful clientele and getting to know the community of West Seattle before moving the practice to her home studio. Now she welcomes the opportunity of returning to Belli Capelli Salon and Spa at their new location in the heart of West Seattle. Terilyn continues to provide onsite massage at Pacific Northwest Ballet along with her dear friend and colleague French Walker.

The practice has now expanded to include French Walker who brings her many gifts as a reflexologist and Reiki master. French is a massage student who will graduate from Northwest Healing Arts Center in early November. Terilyn and French see many diverse clients, who include ballet dancers, artists, athletes, senior citizens, nurses, doctors and other healers, oncology patients and cancer survivors, prenatal and postnatal women, L&I and injury clients, and many people who spend too much time at their computers.

Teri cares deeply for her clients and her compassion is evident in her touch. She has a way of combining very deep tissue massage with long, flowing strokes that follows the body's natural energetic channels. She has a very intuitive and loving touch that allows the client to feel comfortable and calm while creating effective changes in the muscle tissue. Terilyn is very aware of the connection with Body, Mind and Spirit while she works and many of her clients notice an elevation of their mood, emotional balance, and an overall sense of well being after their session.

French's style is both energetic and deep with a focus on acupressure points and energy meridians leaving her clients feeling balanced and renewed. French's touch is both intuitive and nurturing. She is a great asset to Hands on Health and we welcome her with enthusiasm.

Belli Capelli Salon & Spa is centrally located in West Seattle with easy access to the West Seattle Bridge. There is ample street parking or clients may park around back and enter either through the main salon entrance or the separate spa entrance at the back of the building.
